Sharon White Obituary

 Sharon D. White, 65, was born as a twin on May 20, 1958, to the union of Johnny L. and Betty J. (Forbes) White Sr. in Detroit, Michigan. The fifth of six children, Sharon was characterized as strong-willed, kind-hearted, and free-spirited from her youth into her adult life. Sharon was born onto a legacy of faith from her grandparents. Bishop Ellington & Mother Hilda Forbes (Founders of Greater Grace Apolistic Temple). She made a decision at a young age to follow Christ and lived her life in accordance with the Gospel of Jesus Christ given that she loved God with all of her heart and was never ashamed of it.

Sharon attended the Detroit Public School system and earned her high school diploma from Finney High School in 1975. Following her high school graduation, Sharon started working foe the United States Postal Service, where she worked as a clerk for 35 years. She retired in 2013, and since then she's adored spending time with her loved ones, traveling, and shopping. 

Sharon who was affectionately known as (little one, little twin) was also dedicated aunt and loving sister and doted on her nieces and nephews. She was the no nonsense aunt who spoiled the ones that she loved.

Sharon departed this life on October 1, 2023, despite being surprised by her passing, her family and friends are thankful for her life. Sharon was preceded in death by her father (Johnny L. White Sr.), mother (Betty J. White), three brother (Johnny L. White Jr, Eugene White, and Gary White), and nephew (Eugene Smith). She is survived by her twin sister Sherry White and youngest sister Leanetta White, three nieces, Ayana (Michael) Oden, Taliyah (Benjamin) Duffield, and Mikaylah White; and nephew (Gar White Jr.), great nephew (Tyler White), great nieces (Gabrielle Oden, Mackenzie Oden, and Bayleigh Duffield), aunts (Marsha Curtis, Priscilla Cross, Margaret White), as well as a host of other family and friends that were dear to her, as well as her beloved dog, Butterscotch.
