Sandra Horton Obituary
Sandra Jean Thomas was born on September 10,1947 in Wayne, Michigan to Lamar Thomas and Johnnie Mae Thomas.
Sandra Jean Horton accepted Christ at an early age.
Sandra Jean Horton attended the Inkster Public School system.
While in high school, Sandra Jean Horton participated in (dance, art and sport.)
Sandra Horton met her dearest friends, Charlotte, JoAnn and Francine, they remain lifelong friends.
Sandra was joined in Holy Matrimony with Eddie Horton Sr. for 40 yars. To this union (5) children were born. Three daughters' Lavonna Horton. Marietta Bryant, and Shelly Wade, and three son's Eddie Horton Jr., Brandon Horton. Sandra met William Johnson and that led to a 30 year relationship and later adopted Ferris Thomas when he was 6 months old.
Sandra Jean Horton was employed with Detroit Medical Center for several years as an Activities Director. She continued her work at Heartland Health Care Center where she retired as as an Activities Director.
Sandra's often enjoyed, drawing, dancing, and caring for her plants and her two dogs Lacey Ann and Aries Jean. Close friends and family called her "Sa Sa". She had a contagious smile, and since of humor and very silly at times, you could catch her watching her favorite shows lifetimes and CSI and let's not forget her game shows. One would know she loved cooking just by the way her food taste. Sandra was blessed with a kind heart, loving spirit, and ken understanding of everyone she shared this unique warmth with. Working with the sick and elderly was not work for her she enjoyed every moment of the time she spent with those in her care.
Sandra Horton sunset was on September 17,2021. She was preceded in death by: Her father Lamar Sr. and mother Johnnie Mae, husband Eddie Horton, and William Johnson. Her sibling Patricia Solomon, William Thomas, Lamar Thomas, Anthony Thomas, and Michelle Bridgefort, and two great- grandchildren Ella Viau and Destiny.
