Rosalyn Brown Obituary
Rosalyn Denise Brown was born on February 22, 1957, to the parents of William and Gercina Murray Brown. Rosalyn had two brothers, William Derek Brown and Anthony Dewayne Brown who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two daughters who she would say "Were the best daughters", Lashonda Tomiko Powers and Sherri Denise Brown. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Terrell Joseph Powers; grandson E'shayon D. Brown; grandson's mother (daughter) Ebony Hogan; (daughter) LaTeshia Noble; and a host of nieces, nephews, and Wendy's family as well as friends who cared for her.
Rosalyn was a sweet, quiet, and gentle woman. She was so connected to her loved ones that she knew if they were in pain. If you needed a shoulder to cry on, she was there. If you needed a cheerleader, she was your biggest cheerleader. Her patience was tremendous, and her commitment was fierce and deep!!!
In 2017, Rosalyn received some devasting news, she had early onset glaucoma and was going blind. She also had two surgeries for cataracts.
She thought she was out of the woods until an annual exam discovered uterine cancer. Rosalyn was so strong and fearless that she faced it head-on. She had a complete hysterectomy, chemo, and radiation. All was finished, she was happy with her family, feeling blessed to have a second chance at life. Sadly, the cancer returned with a vengeance. Ready to face It again, her body could not continue, but she was encouraged and strong til the end.
