Roderick Bruce Obituary
Roderick Jamall Kenyatta Bruce (Punkin'), started his journey in this world on February 27, 1975 in Westland, Michigan to Rodney Legion and Paula Bruce.
Roderick was brought up in the church and received Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Peoples Community Baptist Church in Westland, Michigan.
Roderick received his education in Inkster and Westwood School District and graduated from Robichaud in 1993.
Roderick was employed by the Salvation Army organization.
Roderick was a strong free spirit who enjoyed being a father, helping his family, and making people laugh. You could always depend on him to lend a helping hand.
Roderick's journey with those who loved him ended when God call him home and he made his final transition on April 17, 2021.
Roderick was truly loved by all of his grandparents, three of which heave preceded him in death: Annie Bruce-Burgess, Carl Burgess, and Ronald Legion.
Roderick leaves to cherish his memory: his mother Paula Bruce Sandusky, Father Rodney Legion, six children: Daniel, Michelle, Roderick, Alantia, Alontez, Aaliyah, and Santiago, three brothers Raymond (Ray-Ray), Rodney, Alex and one step-sister Tasha (Keith), four grandchildren Rodrick, Amina, Miliyah, and Kobe; grandmother Charlesella, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
