Regina Denise Hines was born to Melvina Tabb and Reginald Hines on November 10, 1955. Regina was raised by Taylor and Johnie Colquitt who preceded her in death.
Regina was known to everyone was "Genie", she received her education through Inkster Public Schools and graduated from Inkster High School in 1973. She was employed by General Motors Power-Train, formerly known as Hydro-Mantic in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She finished her career at Air Conditioner Products in Romulus, Michigan.
Regina was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth Wayne Welch, this union two sons were born. She was a loving, caring, unique individual, whom stood firm for her loved ones.
Regina found Christ at an early age. She gave comfort to others through her knowledge of scripture.
Regina was a true DIVA, she not only had a great eye for fashion but her style was impeccable from her hair to her nails, she was always glamorous.
Regina loved to people watch, but one of her favorite pastimes was taking long drives with her son Myron.
During the years we were blessed to have her with us, her total commitment was to family and friends.
To her family she gave all fidelity and nurtured with abundant love. To her friends she gave all loyalty and understanding.
Regina's husband, Kenneth and brother Tyrone Emil Tabb Sr who she had a passionate love for preceded her in death.
Regina passed on to glory on October 7, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons: Demetrece R. Welch (Mesha) and Myron D. Welch (Angela), seven grandchildren; Benny Quitin Gregory, Jacob King, Isis Welch, Amani Welch, Demetrece Welch Jr., Kaylee Welch, and Kaleb Welch; five great-grandchildren; one loving sister; Sharon Tabb, three brother: Solomon Tabb Jr., Reggie Hines, and Kevin Hines, three nephews: Tryone Tabb Jr., Jermone Tabb, and Monte (Tyrha); two godchildren: Crystal and Eric Hemphill; fur buddy; Duke and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
