Michael Anthony Hister is known by his family and friends as Mike and "WP". He passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital after a short illness on January 5, 2024. He will be remembered for the time he shared with his family and friends. Mike was born on January 27, 1962 in Westland, Michigan. Mike attended Inkster Public School. He accepted Christ as his personal savior. Mike grew to be a man of great courage, boundless love, and an adventurous spirit that led him to live life to its fullest.
Mike's journey through life was marked by his unwavering bravery, whether he was facing life's challenges head-on or standing up for what he believed in. Mike enjoyed going to the Casino and playing the lottery. He loved apple pie and talking smack to others.
As we say farewell to Michael Anthony Hister, we celebrate a life that was lived with fearless love and a 'spirit" that could never be caged. Mike will be remembered for his courage in difficult times, love, and for being outspoken. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of many who knew him.
Michael preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Viel and his father Norman Cornell Carter, three brothers Timothy, Kenneth, and Rodney Ricky Carter and one sister Kimberly Carter. He leaves to cherish his memories a special friend Selena Spencer of Detroit, Michigan, three daughters Shamica Patterson of Inkster, Michigan Montori Woods of Inkster, Michigan, and Makayla Tanea Spencer of Detroit, Michigan, three brothers Ryan Parris of Inkster, Michigan, Clifford Parris of Boston, Massachusetts, and Keith Parris of Grand Rapids, MI. three sisters, Kathy Parris of Westland, MI, Elisa Carter Simpson of Romulus, MI, and Venetia McDaniel of Laurel, MD, six grandchildren: Treymar, Kayla, Tyren, Omari, Tavon, and Paris Patterson of Inkster, Michigan, three great-grandchildren Londyn, Damarion and Kay'Zin Patterson of Inkster, Michigan and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
