Lowell Hollis Obituary

Lowell Hollis, affectionately known as "Junior" was born on July 26, 1947, in Michigan to the union of Willie James Thomas Sr. and Easter Belle Thomas. Junior was educated in the Inkster Public School System and graduated from Robichaud High School. He began working at Kelsey-Hayes in Southwest Detroit. Later, Junior drafted into the United States Army earning the rank Sergeant while serving his country; and eventually being Honorably Discharged.

Junior loved doing handy work and projects, taking care of his grandkids and most of all, his Milwaukee's Best. Junior was very stern, he enjoyed yelling at everyone; especially those who would sit at the green light too long. He also enjoyed driving around Inkster just to wave at everyone. Early in life, Junior met Vanita Reid and to this union a daughter; Maria was born. Later in life Junior met and married his loving wife Dorcas, affectionately known as "Dottie".

Junior was proceeded in death by his parents; Willie James and Easter Thomas., sisters; Loretta, Jazelle, Mazie, and Irene, brother: Willie Alan. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 43 years Dorcas, siblings: Lois, Mack (Mamie), Sylvia (Eld. George), Sheila (Richard), Melba "Cookie" (Lorenzo), Tonya, Kevin, and Kawana (Darryl), and his sister-in-law Monique, his children: Maria, LaTonya (Demetrius), Roxanne, Oscar (Crystal), and Ranez (Donna), his grandchildren: Michael Lowell "Mike-Mike" (Ashli), Marciela "CC" Vincent, Aubrielle, Amy, DeAndre, Destiny, Austin, Gabrielle, Brianna, Inda, Megan, DaRon, Samantha, Osca. He also leaves 10 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and fiends.
