Lewis Smith Obituary

~Reflections of Life~

" To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.": Ecclesiastes 3:1

Time To Be Born

Lewis Warren Smith was born on December 31, in Detroit, Michigan to the union Louis Smith and Marjorie Smith (Martin). Lewis was the third oldest of 13 siblings. Edward, Leonard, Elliot, Suzette, Jacqueline, Theodore and Dana all who preceded him in death.

A Time To Plant

Lewis graduated from Inkster, Michigan in 1960. At the age of 18, Lewis joined the United States Army where he served his country in Germany as an E4 Specialist. After completing his service with the United States Army, Lewis went on to Shaw College to pursue his dream in accounting. Later he maintained his business, "Ebony Accounting Service." Lewis married Rosemary Mingo, and to the union Reginald Richard Smith was born.

A Time To Laugh and A Time To Dance

Lewis, also known as "Detroit Louie" to most was loved by many and had the attributes of a great man. He was a provider, protector, was caring, responsible and dependable. Lewis was very outgoing and enjoyed visiting the casino, (who still owes him). He loved music, social gatherings, traveling, telling jokes and making his family and friends happy. Lewis is truly a special man of God who will be dearly missed by all.
