The Man
The past couldn't define who you were,
But the present has proven your strength
The criticism to us were just words,
But our love was beyond its lengths
Marriage, the scared commitment of life
Responsibilities carried a heavy burden
It was our lives that was polished and furnished,
True happiness resided with your kids and wife
Everyday all man does is think and think,
Even crack a smile, tell a joke, or even do a wink
The man was always patching and fixing us
Money, a ride, house repair, or a sink
Every second in life without a doubt, you're the man we trust
The man is the captain, the man is a husband
The man is the father, the man is your best friend,
When he leads, we stand tall and strong
It's our turn to hold the fort down while you're gone
The man is not just a friend, but our symbol,
He is the sign of wisdom, and hope
We have to prove that we got this
It's like taking the game winning shot, so don't choke

you're a great husband and an awesome Dad
