Mr. Frank Massey

Frank Darnell Massey "Nitty" was born on December 11th, 1955, to the late Marie and William Massey a John Gastion Hospital in Memphis, TN. Frank was the tenth child of fifteen children. He was proceeded in death by his father William Massey, his mother Marie Massey, five brothers Clinton, Larry, Carl, Leon, Paul. and one sister Tiny and his loving daughter Towana Massey.

Frank joined Christ at an early age. He was a member at Pillow St C.M.E Church in Memphis during his childhood years. 

Growing up, Frank attended Hamilton Elementary School in Memphis, TN. Later on in 1968, he moved to Inkster, MI where he attended Roosevelt Junior High School. After graduating from Junior High, Frank attended Robichaud High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Army. After being discharged from the army Frank worked at Chrysler, then later worked for Checker Taxi Company for many years. Frank later took on entrepreneurship and started his own business "The Wall Doctor" specializing in dry wall, residential and commercial repairs.

Frank was a very out-spoken person, he stated whatever came to his mind no filter at all. He was a loving person, sweet and very caring. He loved his family and loved being in his families' presence. He was the life of the party; he was going to turn up to make sure everyone had a great time.  He loved cracking jokes even at the most serious moments, he was going to turn a frown into a smile and laughter. There was never a dull moment when Frank was around and if he wasn't around he would keep you on the phone for hours just laughing and talking junk. Although he was sweet ad kind, he also had a standup guy mentality, he stood very firm on how he felt and was going to make sure he got his point across. 

On September 1st, 2023, Frank took his last breath, felt his last pain and made his transition into eternal peace. He leaves behind to cherish his most wonderful memories; two sons: Adrian (Daniele) Massey, Darren (Lenh) Massey, one daughter: Toya Taylor, three grandson Andre, Aaron, and Christian, three granddaughters, Anaya, Sianna, and Amira., three brothers Timothy, George, and Scott, five sisters; Marie, Mary (Bill) Murray, Martha, Rosa, and Evelyn (Elder Benard) Jordan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
