Franciska Marcella Fenderson was born on September 15, 1965, in Cherokee Memorial Hospital in Gaffney, South Carolina to her mother Kathleen Hughes and her father Vernell McDowell who preceded her in death. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age at Buckshoals Baptist Church in North Carolina. Franciska attended Southwestern High School in Detroit, MI, and received her associates al Williams Tinsdale College. Franciska met the love of her life, Arthur Fenderson in 1980 and later married in October of 1987.
Franciska was a caring, loving, loyal, and devoted wife, mother, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend. When Franciska was present, she filled the room and other's hearts with her infectious smile and big personality. She had a strong passion for people, and she thrived on taking care of others in every way possible. She brought love and laughter to everyone she knew and will be forever missed.
Franciska enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, watching Price is Right, Deal or No Deal, Wheel of Fortune, and childhood shows such as Sanford & Son, The Jeffersons, Good Times, and Scooby Doo. Her favorite sport was softball & cheerleading, and she was GOOD!
Franciska pursued various careers, but her true passion lay in her daycare, Hands of Love, and her role as Mother Wisdom on the radio station, where she led Sunday morning prayers and the TCT prayer line where she prayed for individuals over the phone. She was a dedicated prayer warrior.
Franciska transitioned from this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2024. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Arthur Fenderson, mother Kathleen Hughes (William), sons Corey Smith (Andrea), Arturo McDowell (Jill), Dequantae McDowell (Patrice), Joshua Fenderson (Shyla), and daughter Shajuana Fenderson (Gerald), Franciska also leaves to cherish five brothers Vernilious McDowell (Lisa), Vincent McDowell, Ronnie Miller (Cecilia), Bernard Miller (Ann), Ron Hughes, and a sister Sharon McDowell. Franciska has 12 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as many friends and extended families.
