Obituary

Ezzard Lee Fannin was born January 18, 1954 to the late Nathaniel and Johnnie Mae Howe in Romulus, Michigan. He attended the Romulus Public Schools, after the passing of his mother the late Johnnie Mae Howe, Ezzard and his twin sister Norman moved to Willow Run to live with their uncle Alger and Johnnie Mae Boone, who raised them like their own. He was preceded in death by two brothers Roosevelt Thresh and Nathaniel Howe Jr. Four special cousins which were raised as brothers and sisters Bobby Boone, Lavern Boone, Jerome Boone, and Willie Mae Bradley. Two sisters Mary Jo Washington and Norma Harris, and uncle Alger Boone Sr. (Johnnie Mae Boone), Rosber (Johnnie Mae) Boone Sr. and Grandparents Johnny and Bessie Boone.

Ezzard attended Willow Run Public Schools. He became a member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ and accepted Christ in his life in his teens under the leadership of his Pastor the late Supt. James L. Whitehead Sr. He loved going to church and spending time with his friends and family. Ezzard moved to Detroit and there he met Anita Ernst where Terrance Ernst and Ezzard Ernst were born.

Ezzard enjoyed being around his family and watching sports on tv. He loved watching old western movies. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and often went fishing when he had the chance.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his sons Terrence Ernst and Ezzard Ernst Jr (Ryann) grandchildren; Ezzard Ernst, Miyai Ernst, and Elijah Ernst. Special cousins raised as siblings Alger (Delores) Boone, Evang. Catherine (David) Williams, Betty Graves, Vonja Mar Hill, Paul Boone, Duane Boone, Wendy Macintosh, Jacquelyn Coleman, Alger (Layla) Lucky aunt Johnnie Mae Boone and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
