Cynthia Wagner Obituary

On June 17, 1955, an Angel was born, Cynthia Corlette Wagner to Fred Wagner and Jacqueline Dixon who proceeded her in death. Cynthia was educated through the Detroit Public Schools where she graduated in 1972. 

Cynthia was a member of Burnette Baptist Church located in Detroit, Michigan and later moved her membership to Womack Temple when she came to live with her Aunt Sayonya Dixon-Rendles. Cynthia loved the Lord and would always say "God is Good all the time God is Good." While attending Womack Temple Church Cynthia was a member of the choir, served on the Usher Board, participated in Feeding the Hungry, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and other church activities within the community.

The highlight of Cynthia's life was getting on the bus every day and going to school at (Service to Enhance Program) known as STEP located in Westland, Michigan. Cynthia attended STEP for over 25 years where she participated in art, cooking, and computer classes. Cynthia truly loved her teachers, counselors, and classmates at her school. While also attending school she was employed at Walmart for 17 years until she retired in 2020.

Cynthia unexpectedly departed her life on October 2, 2023, at Wyandotte Hospital, Cynthia loved watching Family Feud and Game Show channel with her aunt Barbara Dixon and her cousin Renee. Cynthia loved everyone and especially her family. Her sister Phyliss Wagner, her brother Wilson Dixon, Aunts- Sayonya Dixon-Rendles and Margurite Lambert, Uncles- Hartsville Dixon and Esper Rendles all proceeded her in death.

Cynthis leaves to cherish her loving spirit and memories her only living Aunt who helped take care of her, Barbara Dixon, her Cousin/Caregiver- Terrisita Dixon-Dapremont (Reginald), Sister-Abbie Jones, Brother- Yusef Muhammad, Cousins- Cathy Dixon, Wendall Dixon, Lynn Dixon (LaTonya) Tameka Dixon, Kristal Dixon, Arlene Appleby (Curtis), Angela Lawson, Ryla and Reginals Dapremont, and her church family. Cynthia also leaves Kenya Tatum, Mesha Gibson, Kaylee Dixon, Carla Andrews, Louvenia Dapremont, and Sharon Smith who all assisted her with anything she needed help with. Cynthia also leaves a host of nieces, cousins, nephews, and our extended family, Tasha Jackson, Patricia Watkins, and Tameka Sayonya Johnson (Greg).
