Chataya Thurman Obituary
On October 5,2001 a bright light was born into this world, Chataya Jayana Thurman, who was known as "Chay" to friends and family. Born to Scotty and Tatanisha Thruman, Chataya was the last born of three children. She grew up in Belleville, Michigan with her twin sisters Tiana and Iana Thurman where she the graduated Belleville High School with the class of 2020. Chataya loved caring for others, which led her to pursue a degree in nursing at Washtenaw Community College.
Chataya was one of the most loving and caring persons anyone has ever met. She enjoyed making other people happy, that is really what drove her. At heart Chataya was a very adventurous person and loved to travel. She traveled to: California, Florida, Louisiana, Arizona, Colorado, New York and many other places. She loved trying new food, and loved baking. She had a caring spirit, and never stopped smiling. She was starting to workout with her father, and took interest in a healthier lifestyle. She enjoyed being around people she loved, her family and her friends.
On February 7, 2021, she received her heavenly wings. Chataya left behind her loving parents: Tatanisha and Scotty; her older twin sisters: Iana and Tiana Thurman, her dog: Brick Thurman, her loving Oma: Sharon Thurman, her beloved nephew: Antonio Robinson, her caring aunties: Nicole (Johnny), La'Shanna (Ken), and Kisha (Sherman). Also, leaving behind a host of uncles, cousins, and friends that loved her dearly. Preceding in death her great-grandparents: Ernestine and Clinton Bernard, and her grandmother: Charlotta Snider. We miss and love you so much, Heaven couldn't wait for you, their sweet angel.
