Mr. Calvin Sneed

Mr. Calvin Sneed was born on March 22, 1948, in Thomaston, Georgia to Mr. Arthur C. Sneed and Minnie B. (McCants) Sneed that proceeded him in death. 

He grew up in the Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church along with his family.

Mr. Calvin Sneed peacefully passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 75.

Calvin, was the spelling bee champion at McNair elementary school for many years. He attended Robichaud High School in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and graduating in 1967. He also attended Rets Electronic in Detroit, Michigan where he remained until the Vietnam.

Calvin is survived by his wife Ozona Sneed, three wonderful children, Lysa Sneed, Chandra Sneed, Tiffany (William) Knox, and his loving sister Pearline Reeves. His grandsons; Kyle Holmes, Ryan Knox, Ian Knox, Connor Knox, and two granddaughters: Morgan Cochran and Kendall Knox. One niece, Monya Cherie (Charlie) Thomas, two nephews; Kenneth (Renee) and James (Rukeya) Johnson, one surviving Aunt Mattie (Mel) Fullwood and two surviving uncles: Lynn Sneed and Pal (Carrie) Raines and a host of nieces and nephews to carry on his legacy. Stepchildren Kimani Westly and Daniel Renfroe Jr.

Calvin had a passion for cars. He first car was purchased off the showroom floor. A beautiful burgundy Ford Fairlane 500 drop top while working at Frank's Nursery to fulfill his dream. His potato salad was made with love and when it came to his Kool-Aid everyone that knew him, knows that he only too it NICE & COLD!!

The workers at Kirk's BBQ and Hills BBQ knew him by name. Calvin had the love of Motown music, especially Sam Cooke!
