Alvin Wiley was born on June 20, 1940, in Eustis, Florida to the late Titus Wiley and Theresa (Thomas) Wiley. Alvin was the last of five children born to this union. He was preceded in death by (wife, Georthy Mae Wiley) two brothers and two sisters; William Lee Wiley, Calvin Lee Wiley, Vera Lee (William) Wiley, and Yulee (Taylor) Wiley.
The Wiley family moved to Michigan in 1941. Alvin attended Inkster Community Schools where he graduated from Inkster High School.
Alvin was united in marriage to Goerthy Mae (Matthews) Wiley on January 8, 1968. To this union, five children were born.
Alvin worked for Ford Motor Company for 32 years before retirement.
Alvin enjoyed family, friends, bowling, music, dancing, cowboy movies, and books.
He leaves to cherish his homegoing: his children; Jeffrey Dion (Myrnna) Wiley of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Donald Edward (Lynn) Wiley of Romulus, Michigan, Deborah Glennise (David Ledbetter) Wiley of Inkster, Michigan, Bryant Anthony (Minnie) Wiley of Inkster, Michigan; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; six sister-in-law, Betty Wiley of Clinton, Maryland, Naomi Kennedy of Inkster, Michigan, Sally Matthews of Inkster, Michigan, Stephanie (Powell) Bonner of Inkster, Michigan, Lauranette (Steven) Tomilson of Inkster, Michigan; one brother-in-law Frederick Matthews of Westland, Michigan a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
