Yardley Tyrone Sims was born on January 17, 1963 to the both the late and great, Garnett Sr. and Kathleen Sims. He was the youngest of fourteen children. Preceded him in death by his parents and eight siblings.
Yardley accepted Christ at a very young age and was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend E.R. Jones.
He attended the Inkster Public Schools. After graduating, Yardley attended the School of Arts in Chicago, Illinois to become an Architect, which he practiced and succeeded in his skills. He could transform any room into something beautiful. His other passion "Loving People" led him to purse his nursing skills.
Although he had no biological children, he sure helped with ALL of the families children...generation after generation. Yardley loved to dance and was very, very good at it. We know he loved music, especially Michael Jackson. Yardley was loved by so many people. He was kind, very pleasant and a joy to be around. He will truly be missed.
Yardley leaves to mourn his memory, four sisters, Christine Singleton, Pat Freeman (Premail), Simone Montgomery and Charlotte Thomas (Rod); two brothers, Douglas and Timothy Sims; his "babies" Tiara and Ciara Sims and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
