Verters Dunlap Obituary

Mrs. Verters Sue Dunlap was born on January 13, 1952. In Newport, Arkansas to the late Lou Myrtle Ford and the late James E. Ford. She was the fourth child and first Girl of Eleven Children.
Sue accepted Jesus Christ at a very early age, and was Baptized, at First Baptist Church in Newport, Arkansas. She graduated from W.F. Branch High School in May 1970. She moved to Michigan shortly thereafter.
There she met and fell in love with her Husband of 50 years Mr. Robert E. Dunlap Sr. They were married on May 22, 1971. To their union was born two beautiful children, Robert Earl Dunlap II and Melanie Sue Dunlap.
Sue began working at Delta Airlines in 1973 as a Ticket Reservation agent. She gladly served and met people from all walks of life, even Celebrities of fame and fortune and she treated them all with dignity and respect and her award winning smile blazing bright.
She retired from Delta Airlines after serving 35 years, in Summer of 2005. Although she retired in 2005, her love for people continued. She worked at her local Party store, as well as cleaning aircrafts for Prospect Cleaning services, before completely retiring, several years later...
Sue truly, loved her Children, Robert and Melanie as well as her brothers and sisters; Deceased James L. Ford, Deceased, Damon Ford, Floyd N. Ford, Patricia Milan (Carl), Gilbert L. Ford, Debra Ford, Dessie (Ron Clark), Nancy Reed, Roosevelt jr. Reed, Marcella Reed. She adored, and loved each niece, and nephew, cousins. Sue was the rock of the family she taught each of us how to love one another, respect one another, how to dream big, how to get together in love and enjoy our family time together, she was like our second Mother and second Grandma to nieces and nephews. She was an outstanding person and believed in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit.
She will truly be missed and cherished forever.
Sue made us all feel special, she played Santa Claus every year ... with the biggest smile, she gave her heart to each of us and made all who knew her feel special in every way. Sue was a woman of Faith and Courage and was destined to achieve whatever she desired in life. She will be greatly missed. We all have received gift baskets, Sue was the greatest giver of all time, May God Bless her heart and Soul, and say well done my good and faithful servant.
