Veora Miller Obituary
Veora Miller was born April 24th, 1926 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Henry and Daisy Smith.
She was the sibling to Rovein (Smith) Grant, Daisey (Smith) Mills, Johnny & Charles Smith and Rosie Lee (Smith) Thigpen (who preceded her in death).
Veora was the mother to a host of children who all cherished her. She was preceded in death by the children Bill & Vivian (North Carolina). Ruth (Cox) Perry, Robert Cox, and DeWayne Miller (Michigan).
Veora was eventually moved to Michigan. There, she met and married the love of her life A.V. Miller. From this union, seven children were born; Albert, Patricia, Gregory, DeWayne, Nathaniel & Rickey Miller (All of Detroit, MI). Veora was a dedicated wife and ,other who filler her home with laughter, love, and delicious family meals.
Veora departed this life August 3, 2017 at the nursing home in Taylor, MI where she had resided for the last nine years.
She leaves to cherish her memory a host of grand, great and even great great grandchildren. Her memory will also carry on through her special granddaughter Tricia Miller.
Veora will be remembered for her strength, her humor and her loving personality. Most of all, she will be remembered for her presence. Her laugh will forever ring in the hearts of her loved ones, and her smile forever on their minds. There are many memories and moments that will carry on in the memory of Veora. Rather it be a joke, a song or a simple conversation, her spirit always found a way to touch everyone she encountered. When she said "I love you and I thank God for you", it was clear that she meant it.
We will always love you Veora, and we will forever thank God for the beautiful blessing we had in you.
