Amazing Toni Thomasetta Bailey was born August 14, 1958 in Wayne, MI to parents, Andrew D. Bailey and Lois J. Hollis-Bailey. She passed in peace at her home October 25,201. She is preceded in death by her beloved and caring step-father Levi Turner. Toni was a devoted Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized by Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Detroit MI. She received the precious gift of the Holy Spirit in her teenage years at Universal Church of the Everlasting Gospel, Pasadena, CA. She was the youth leader , service organizer, and director for the Friday night youth services at Universal Church of the Everlasting Gospel. A humanitarian at heart who loved and enjoyed helping, and giving, blessing and praying for others. She founded Joyous Christian Outreach and Smile for a Doll. This year she blessed numerous youth with backpacks filled with school supplies. She was involved in numerous organizations and outreaches that blessed those in need and always recruited her family and friends to join her. Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Good fellows, Inkster Beautifications Overseer, Inkster C.E.R.T, Inkster Commission on Aging, Grand Prix volunteer Supervisor and contributed to N.C.I.A and sponsored summer youth camps and Boys to Men just to name a few. Giving was her passion, she reached out and helped other very Christ like. Toni attended Douglas Elementary School, Inkster, MI, and Fitzgerald Elementary School, Detroit, MI. Middle School at Post Middle School, Detroit, MI and Curtiss Middle School, Carson CA. She graduated from Banning High School, Wilmington, CA. She completed and earned her Bachelor's Degree at California State University Long Beach. She also received educational certificates. She had numerous jobs with her first being a newspaper route in which she was dedicated and recruited her family to arise early in the moring to assist her. She dedicated her to a career with AAA for 35 years where she held multiple positions and received many awards and recognitions. She was a AAA Ambassador who volunteered in many activities that helped others and was awarded the AAA Ambassador of the year award. Toni was a talented person with many gifts and interest and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. Toni, Tina and Sonya the three sister amigas enjoyed some of same hobbies such as traveling, tennis, bowling, roller skating, softball, and street football. They supported, comforted, and cared for one another and carried each other through life's journey. Tina and Sonya carried her until the end of her journey. Just like her late grandmother, Easter Bell Thomas she volunteered her service faithfully to the City of Inkster in various ways. She was an intricate instrument dedicated hard worker in all her services for the city. She impacted and touched the hearts of countless people and was loved by everyone she came in contact with. Rain or shine she drove the streets of Inkster many days praying and beautifying the whole city. She left a beacon of light for all in the community. Her cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed. Toni has a lifetime of memoires and accomplishments. She was strong, fierce, wonderful, out spoken, a compassionate leader, woman, daughter, and sister who protected her family. She was loved, will be missed, and will always be loved and cherished. She is survived by he father: Andrew D. Bailey; loving mother: Lois J. Hollis-Bailey-Turner; as well as her siblings; Myron Bailey, Bettina "Tina" Turner, Sonya Turner, DeJuan Turner, Elbert Turner (Retha), Michael Williams, Veronica Harris (Rick), and Fernando Parker (Vina); and many god-children, nieces, nephews, uncles aunts, and cousins.
