Telane Richelle Ransom was born July 9, 1947 in Inkster, Michigan to the loving parents Hazel Harris and Richard Strozier. At an early age she expressed her calling of faith to the Lord. As the story is often told about her calling to her mom saying her first works "Look at the light".
Telane was affectionately known to many as "Tina" or "The Boss Lady". The first signs of her tenacity came in her early youth as she learned to write using the flowered papered walls of the basement as a canvas. All her life she loved to be neatly dressed and accessorized, and do things in her own quiet way.
In her early education she was an excellent student and social butterfly. Tina graduated from Inkster High School in 1965 and went on to attend Ferris State University attaining a Bachelor's Degree as well as Eastern Michigan University earning a Master's Degree. In 1969 Tina married Larry Ransom, no children were from this union and Larry preceded her in death.
Tina began a lengthy and varied career employed by the City of Inkster in 1973 as an account clerk. From her hard work, attention to detail and dedication assisting with many other duties, she was promoted to the position of a Payroll Benefit Specialist. Tina's kindness, compassionate nature, and overall efficiency were a few of the great qualities she shared as a Personnel Specialist until her retirement in 2011.
She is preceded in death by her father Richard Strozier Jr., and brothers James and Paris Strozier. She leaves to mourn, her mother Hazel Peace, sisters Varbara and Theresa, brothers Richard Jr., David, Kenneth and Vincent. great sister friend Velida Guiterrez and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
