Tandy Weaver Obituary
Tandy Lee Weaver, was born on June 14, 1924 in Cardeine, Mississippi to the late Edward and Lucy Mae Weaver. To this union thirteen children were born, eight girls and five boys, all of whom preceded him in death.
Tandy was educated in the Mississippi Public School System. In1943, he met and married Mary Weaver. To this union eight children were born.
Tandy and his family later moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan where he enjoyed his time fishing, cracking jokes and working hard as an all-out handyman.
Tandy joined and became a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in 1978, under the leadership of the late Reverend Willie Davis. Tandy was a joy to be around. He was guaranteed to make you laugh, but he didn't accept any foolishness either. On April 18, 2020, after ninety-six glorious years on earth, God called his child home to rest.
To cherish and carry on his memory, he leaves behind thirteen children, five sons, Walter (Jerlene), Paul, Leslie, Leroy and Earl (who preceded him in death); eight daughters, Aleane, Hazel, Edna, Laura Jo, Eula (Steve) Mattie, Janet and Trenda; thirty-seven grandkids; sixty-eight great grandkids; thirty-five great-great grandkids as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
