Shella Cranford

Shella Laird Cranford (Native Name: Nin fa Sintos Balena) was born on February 12, 1958 to the late Solidad E. Sintos and Igmedio Y. Balena in the region of Northern Mindanao which is located in the Philippines called Misamis Occidental. Shell attended Laping Agro-Industrial High School in the Philippines and graduated in 1978. Shella worked as an Assembler in the liquor and beverage department at LSG Sky Chefs Incorporated for 30 years. She loved to cook and share meals with family and friends and was extremely humorous. She was absolutely loved to crack jokes and to facetime everyone. Shella gave birth to two beautiful sons James Haley Balena Smith born on April 29, 1978 and Golderra Hernandez Laird born March 7, 1983. Shella moved from Manila to Honolulu and met Philip Laird whom was her first husband on December 12, 1982. After Philip, services was completed in the military. They moved to Mississippi and lived there for a few years, and shortly after moved to Detroit, Michigan in the early 80's. Shella & Phillip Laird were married for 7 years. During this union, they had Golderrea Hernandez Laird. Years later, she married the love of her life Vincent Cranford on February 14, 2012 whom she was married to for 5 years. They loved spending time together, traveling and going out to dinner. They also enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends and doing God's work. God called Shella home to rest at Henry Ford Hospital on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the age of 59. With her loving husband by her side. Her parents Solidad E. Sintos and Igmedio Y. Balena; Brother: Reynaldo Balena; Brother-in-laws: Tarryl Laird, Christopher Laird preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her loving Husband: Vincent Cranford; Ex-Husband: Philip Laird; two sons: James Haley Balena Smith, Golderrea Hernandez Laird; Step Son: Jeremy Blake Cranford; Grandchildren: James, Hardy, Jaquilyn, Mary Macdalene, James Grant, Carie Mae, Tareef James; Siblings: Precilla, Vilma, Rudy, Cynthia, Carmeltia, Minerva and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-law and friends.
