Sheena Taylor Obituary

Sheena Hope Taylor was born July 23, 1964, to the union of the late William Louis Taylor and Elizabeth Ann Dillard.

Sheen accepted God at an early age and was baptized in the Lord at Smith Chape A.M.E. Church where she and her siblings were on the Youth Usher Board and in the Youth Chancel Choir. She was very active in the church activities.

Sheena attended Inkster Public Schools and Romulus High School where she graduated with honors. She was in the National Honors Society, Pep Squad and the Health Care Curriculum. Sheena worked in the Health care profession for over 15 years until her health declined.

She was an exceptional writer and speller, she was a walking dictionary. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed reading books, writing poems, helping people, going to church, feeding birds, spending time with her family, playing with her grandbabies and watching Family Feud. But most of all she loved the Lord with all her heart, and she let it be known. She raised her three daughters up in Christ and took them to church every Sunday at More Light Baptist Church in Inkster, Michigan where she taught Sunday School.

Sheena made her transition from this life on March 19,2020 in Westland, MI. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, her three daughters who she loved dearly, Shatoya U. Williams, Kianta S. Harris (Andre) and Nyesha E. Taylor; six grandkids Tyran Jr., Kyren Kendall, Jase, Kayden and Andre Jr.; one beloved brother Shawn L. Taylor (AL); one sister Denise Jones; and her three dearest friends Sherry West, Tanya Story and Rachel Cole and a host of other relatives and friends.
