Samuels Keith Obituary
Samuels Arnold Keith was born on July 15, 1953. Sammy as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was the seventh of eight children born to Bradley Keith and Betty Samuels Keith. At a young age Sammy was baptized at Bethlehem Temple in Detroit, MI under the leadership of Pastor S.N. Hancock. He grew up in Milan Area Schools. He was a brilliant little boy who adored his family and preferred reading books to playing with toys. One thing that he did love to play with was his chemistry set. Chemical reactions fascinated him and he was able to understand the properties of various chemical elements and successfully predict what would happen if he combined them.
He graduated from Milan High School in 1970. He earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His Master of Electrical Engineering degree was earned from Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan.
After college, Sammy worked in several states and for several Fortune 500 companies.
Sammy was preceded in death by parents, Bradley and Betty Keith, four brothers Bradley Keith Jr., Bradley Keith III (Lula), Adolphus Keith, and Michael Keith; and five sisters Phyllis Keith, Garnet Thomas, Maxine Mackie, Janet Gholston, and Dr. Gloria Keith Houser.
He is survived by his sisters Betty (Rev. James) Eaddy and Joyce Keith; his brothers Gregory (Phyllis) Keith, Amos Keith, and David Keith; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends (including very special friends LaTasha & Taquilla Travis) who all loved him dearly.
