Ricardo Ward Obituary

Ricardo Lewis Ward, (Ricc) was born in Lima, Ohio on June 08, 1949 from the union of the late James and Emma Ward and had two brothers Leonard and Michael whom preceded him in death.

Ricc received Christ at an early age and continued to be a faithful servant until the Lord called him home.

Ricc was educated in the Lima, Ohio School Districts and later joined the United States Army to serve and protect our country. Ricc worked in the automotive industry for many years before retiring. Ricc loved to listen to Jazz and enjoyed reading. Ricc was a current events expert and could converse on all subjects matters pertaining to what's going on today.

On June 2, 2017 Ricc was called home to be with the Lord and his loved ones in Heaven.
Ricc leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and dedicated wife Deborah Ward and daughter Janae Simone Ward.

Daughter's Toni (Hersell, Jr. ) Bell, Serita Ward, Nokwe-Asi Ward, Amaina Afi Ward from first marriage to Larue. Brothers: Jeff Godsey, Jason Uptehgrove, Eric (Marilyn) Uptehgrove; Sister, Susan Washington, Mother-in-Law Annie Davis; Father-in-Law Treas Knott, Sister-in-Laws: Teresa Knott, Charlene Simpson, Cathy Knott, Tamara Ely and Chamara Pointer, Brother-in-Law: Brian Davis. When Ricardo and Deborah were united in marriage on October 26, 2001, he inherited a new family that loved and cherished him.

His memory will be cherished by his step-children: Sholanda (Deon) Johnson, Dalisa Snipes and Daryl Snipes, Jr. twenty grand-children and five great grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties and cousins.
