    Rasheen Chiles

    December 26, 1972 - March 8, 2021

Rasheen "Herm" Marshund Chiles was born on December 26,1972 to Jocelyn Chiles in Manhattan, New York. He was raised by his loving grandparents Joel Chiles Sr, and Flossie Chiles who preceded him in death. They called Rasheen "Henry" and treated him as their very own. There was nothing that they would not do for their Henry. Rasheen accepted Christ at an early age and attended Union Baptist Church in New York, New York with his parents. Rasheen was educated in the New York Public system until he and his grandparents packed their bags and moved to Hampton Virginia in 1989. There her graduated and received his high school diploma from Bethel High School in June of 1990. Yearly Rasheen received attendance awards. He was honored for no absences in his 12 years of schooling and went on to attend higher education. Rasheen and his grandfather packed their bags again (after his grandmothers death) in 1992 and moved to Inkster, Michigan to be surrounded by family and love. Rasheen was employed with Lear Corporation in Taylor, Michigan for over 20 years. The company relocated to Traverse City, Michigan in 2020. His commitment to the company led to the supervisor position he held for many years up to the time of his death. He considered all he worked with family. Rasheen was always aware of current events which was one of his favorite subjects in school. He was also an avid and knowledgable sports fan, with basketball being his favorite. More than likely his Uncle Joe has a lot to do with that. If you knew Rasheen personally, you knew of his love for dogs, and they seem to love him back. then there was his family, who called him "Herm" for whom his love ran deep. His family and close friends knew that they could depend on him for whatever was asked of him. He was the support morally, financially, and everything in between.
