Today we celebrate the extraordinary life of Porticia DeShawn Hall affectionately known as "Poopie." Porticia was born on March 6, 1971 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to the parents of Richard Colquitt and Beverly Hall, who both preceded her in death.
Porticia accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Romulus Public School system where she graduated from Romulus Senior High School.
After the completion of high school, Porticia sought employment opportunities in the hotel industry. She worked as a supervisor in housekeeping for many years until she became ill. Porticia was a bright light and was kind to everyone she came in contact with. Poopie was a loyal and dedicated friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and those closest to her, while still living her life to the fullest. Porticia was very creative, she loved crafts, talents which she inherited from her mother. For every birthday, Poopie loved making poster boards and baskets for her love ones. She enjoyed playing cards, watching Martin, and her favorite "Little House on the Prairie."
Porticia leave to cherish her in memory: the love of her life the Theothelus Stephens and their son Omir Stephens, brother Martez Hall (Carol), nieces Shyanna and Alaiya, nephews Dartez and Jaelen, three aunts Betty Nolan of Romulus, Bertha Hargress of Inkster and Betty Mackson of Ypsilanti.
