Ophelia Sally Lawson

Ophelia Sally Lawson was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Walter E. Redding and Eunice M. Pitts Redding. She grew up in Macon, Georgia where she attended the public school system at an early age, she accepted our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and was baptized. Ophelia later followed her beloved brothers to Detroit, Michigan where she worked as banquet waitress for over 10 years and was a janitorial supervisor for over 20 years. Ophelia enjoyed her work and taught her children a work ethic they follow to this day. Ophelia loved playing cards, traveling, cooking and tending to her plants. She loved to laugh and spend time with family playing cards with Greg and little Greg playing with her great-granddaughter Ariah Darby Ophelia beautiful life will be forever cherish in the lives of her children Gregory Redding and Gwendolyn Lawson and a son who preceded her in death Jeffery Todd Lawson. Her loving and devoted grandson Gregory Darby, her sweet great-granddaughter Ariah Darby; siblings Brenda Clowers (Ray), Shirley Redding; brothers, Richard Redding and Robert Redding all of Macon, Georgia; siblings Jesse Redding, Johnny Redding, Raymond, Redding Walter Redding and Beatrice Taylor all preceded her in death.
