NANNIE JEWELL STUDSTILL (Nee Graham) was born in Quitman Georgia to Eddie Graham and Myra Samples Graham. She was the seventh of nine children. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Henry Studstill Sr., her parents and seven of her siblings.
She was raised in Quitman Georgia and graduated from Morven-Rosenwald High School. After graduation she moved to West Palm Beach Florida where she met and married the love of her life John Henry Studstill Sr. To this union two children were born, Felecia and John Jr. They were married for twenty-six years before his passing in 1985.
Jewell worked for many years in housekeeping services, but the majority of her work life was spent in senior care, where she provided both in-nursing center and at-home care.
Jewell enjoyed being with and cooking for her family. Sunday dinner became a rich tradition for her family and the many friends who loved to drop in. Everyone loved her delicious greens and cornbread! She also enjoyed bowling, listening to the blues, visiting family down south, thrift shopping and sharing vibrant stories about her upbringing!
Jewell was most proud of her children and grandchildren. She truly loved them, and they honored her. They each considered her one of their Best Friends!
She made her transition on November 25, 2017.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her brother Rev. Lonnie Graham (Louella), her loving daughter Felecia Gayle, adoring son John Jr. (Nikki), two wonderful granddaughters Dawnya and Asha, two beloved grandsons John III and Warren, two doting great granddaughters August and Chase, a long-time friend Emogene Miles, a special nephew William (Bill) Denson, three special nieces Barbara Jean Berrian, Katherine McCoy and Bernice Dobbins, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
