    Mozella Steele-Kirkpatrick

    October 28, 1934 - November 10, 2020

Hello Everyone, It's Mozella Steele (Kirkpatrick). Many call me Moe, Grandmother, Grandie, Auntie, Mother Moe and Mother. I was born in Detroit, Michigan at Henry Ford Hospital on October 28, 1934 to the union of Clifford and Alberta Steele falling number 4 (as in my parents had 4 children- Clifford Jr., Gloria, Edsel and me). I found Christ early in life while attending Second Baptist Church in Inkster, MI. I would continue to confess Christ throughout my life and truly believe in him as my Lord and Savior. I graduated from the Inkster Public School system in 1953. I married my high school sweetheart, Charles Edward Kirkpatrick on September 27, 1954. We were blessed with two sons, Charles and Rodney. I entered the workforce and got hired to work at General Motors and worked there until I retired and would go on to work many other odd jobs throughout my life. Everyone who knows me knows that I loved making things look nice and clean. I loved to cook, clean, and work in the yard. I also loved basketball, I was the basketball queen. In recent times and especially in 2020, I started to grow a little tired and the Lord called me home. I am going to meet Charles, my mother Alberta, father Clifford; sister Gloria, nephew Darby, brother Clifford Jr., grandson Kali, granddaughter Brittney, cousin Essie and other family members and friends. They are waiting on me...… I have strived to be a loving, compassionate woman, a loving sister, mother and grandmother, a loyal friend and a respected colleague. I hope all that remember me will remember the infectious, warm spirit that I tried to give to the world. I hope it will live on through the countless individuals that I have encountered in my life. I leave to cherish my memory, my two outstanding sons: Charles (Kim) and Rodney (Dee Dee); my beloved brother Edsel Steele, grandchildren: Gabrieal (Xavier), George, Kaine, Rodney, Sasha, Arkira (Milton), and great grandchildren; Kaliah, Kobe, Zay Zay, Jaden, Gavin, Dehym, Levi, London, Morgan, Mayson, Rodney, Jr., and Ranijah. Love, Mozella
