Minnie Singletary Obituary

Minnie Louise Singletary was born November 3, 1943 in Braddock, Pennsylvania to the late William Jr. and Martha M. Singletary. She accepted Christ at an early age. Minnie was one of six children and is survived by six brothers. She made her transition on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Westland Villa Nursing Center in Westland, Michigan.

Minnie was educated in Braddock Public School District and graduated from Braddock Senior High School in May 1961.

Minnie was employed by the Detroit News and also at General Motors, from which she retired after 39 years of service in August 2006.

Minnie oved the outdoors. She often took her girls hiking and on outdoor adventures. She also liked to travel and spend time with her children and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughters, Orial Marie Abney and Ruby Denise Carswell; son-in-law Arthur L. Carswell Jr., brothers, Joe L. (Hela), Nathan L. Sr., Frederick L. Sr. (Linder), Gearia and Eston Singletary. She also leaves seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
