Menthylene Harris Obituary

Menthylene Harris-Denard "MaDear" was born October 13, 1935 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to the late H.A. and Sesner Aggison. Madear accepted Christ at an early age. Her family relocated to Mound, Illinois where she attended Douglas High School. Madear later relocated to Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1960 looking for work and a better life. She was gainfully employed at General Motors where she retired.

Madear had a passion for cooking, she was one of the best cooks in the world. She enjoyed fishing, doing her run down for the winning lottery numbers, going to the casino and mostly planting her flowers. You may not have known her address but you knew exactly which house she lived in by her pretty yard and the most beautiful flowers you can imagine. Madear's kind heart and loving soul will truly be missed.

Madear was baptized at Romulus Community Baptist Church by Pastor Hiral McBurrows Jr. Madear married the late Roosevelt Denard, October 15, 1997 in the comfort of their home.

The love and joy that warm kind heart was unfortunately taken away September 2, 2020 surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Madear's parents H.A and Sesner Aggison; husband, Rooevelt; son Ricky, brother Roy; sister Elmina; nieces, Joyce and Kitty; nephew, Donald; grandson, Chance and great granddaughter, Janasia all preceded her in death.

Madear's legacy will be cherished and remembered by her sons, Rudolph, Mafadenie and Tony; daughter, Sharon, Sharlene, Debra, and Sonya one brother Lee Aggison; 33 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
