Mattie Green Obituary
Mattie Mae Taylor was born on May 23, 1946 in Rankin County, Mississippi. She was the sixth of seven children, born to the union of Lillian and Cassell Taylor Sr. The family relocated to Detroit, Michigan in 1949.
Mattie was educated in the Detroit Public School system. She loved the Lord and was later baptized and joined Solomon's Temple COGIC.
Mattie will surely be missed, she was the entertainer of the family. Her home is where family and friends gathered for the holidays. She enjoyed cooking and being around loved ones in a festive atmosphere.
Mattie's special gift was taking care of others. She opened a daycare in her home.
Mattie married Robert Morris. Out of their union three boys were born: Troy, Andre, and Maki.
She leaves to cherish in her memories: her husband, Robert Morris, Andre (Kelly) Morris, and Maki Morris; one aunt, Mamie Turner; two sisters, Barbara Sandifer and Mary Ragin; and a host of many family and friends.
