Lutretia Krawford Obituary

Lutretia Krawford was born October 24, 1942, to Jacob and Lela Anderson in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the third child of eight children.

At the age of seven the family relocated to Michigan, where Lutretia attended Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Eastern High School. At a very young age, she joined New Liberty Baptist Church. She attended many churches until she felled in love and joined Word of Faith in 2001.

Lutrretia worked at the United States Post Office for over thirty years, where she met her husband Leroy Krawford.

Lutretia was known as Trisha or Pat. Anyone that knew her, would have known that she had three best friends, one of whom she swore was her sister; Bernadine Craigway, Faye McCall and Brenda Wilkins. She was a very caring and giving person that never said "No" to anyone in need. She would go out of her way to help others. Lutretia had a passion for reading and enjoyed creating stories that would capture everyone's attention. She also loved to dance. Whenever she heard music, she would immediately get up and ballroom, bop, do the four corners, the twist, the jerk, walk the chalk, camel walk etc... Lutretia had a winning smile and personality. When her health failed, she never let life get her down. She kept her faith in the Lord.

Lutretia's husband, Leroy Krawford; son, DeAngelo Stenni; grandchildren, Rachel Stennis and James Earl Wilson Jr.; parents, Jacob and Lela Anderson; siblings, Claudette Anderson and Melvin Anderson; and brother-in-law, Baaree Munir Sr. preceded her in death.

Lutretia leaves to cherish her loving memory: one son, Brik Stennis Jr.; two daughters, Sandra Wilson-Fatty and Celeste Wilson; grandchildren, Jamellah Wilson, De angelo Stennis, Tierra (Gregory) McCall-Watson, Ashley Wilson, and Loreal Holmes; Siblings, Jacob Anderson Jr. Waheedah Muir, Mary Anderson, Charlotte Uqdah, And Stella (Clarence) Reese; a host of loving great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
