Lorenzo Keith Powell (Weegee) was born November 9, 1959, in Wayne, Michigan to the late Viola Cheeks and William Powell, both of whom preceded him in death.
Weegee attended Romulus Public Schols. He always loved the Lord and accepted Christ in his life at an early age. Lorenzo enjoyed cooking for family, friends and various employers. He was a loving father that always put family first. He also loved sports, music and watching movies, but he really enjoyed the company of his family the most. His funny personality and smile would light up the room. He was well known for always helping others at anytime of need.
Lorenzo was called home on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Four sisters preceded him in death, Peggy Cheeks, Wanetta Holiman, Barbara Powell and Louistene Devo.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Tashena Roby (Micah) and Leandra Powell; three grand-children, Skylar and Makayla Roby and Serenity Powell; five sisters, Janet Weston, Annette Powell, Arverta Dunn (Ryan), Sharon Stallworth (Delvin) and Bertha Staples; six brothers, Reginald Kirkland (Joanne), William Powell, Lewis, Ike, Isaac and Keno Staples as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
