There is no death, there is no dying, what we call death or what we call dying, is a mere transition or passing into another life.
Today we celebrate the life of Lorene Greenwood Healey. Lorene, an only child, was born June 15, 1927 in Lanett, Alabama to Horace Huguley and Fannie Greenwood. Both parents preceded her in death.
Lorene was educated in the Lanett School System. After spending some unproductive years in Alabama, she moved to Inkster, Michigan, and for a short time, lived with her cousin, Minnie Ward. She worked a few odd jobs before being hired at Sears & Roebuck where she worked until she retired.
In 1976, Lorene married Joseph Healey, who also preceded her in death. During this union, they took in Shantelle Branam and raised her as if she was their own.
Lorene departed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Jude Nursing Center in Livonia, Michigan.
Lorene leaves to cherish her memory, Shantelle Branam, who was very devoted to her and many, many other relatives and friends.
