Kyra Gibbons Obituary

Her beginning

Was born the second child to Ernest and Bessie Gibbons on September 16, 1966 in Wayne, Michigan. She attended the Inkster Public School District, Graduating from Inkster High School in 1984. In her early years of development Kyra was stricken with Junior diabetes that would leave her mildly impaired. Kyra's love for God and the love for her children would keep her in the fight for life. She was not the type of person that would let anything keep her to accomplishing her goals.
As a child, Kyra would attend church with her parents Harrison Road Church of God in Christ later to become Pentecostal Temple in Inkster under the leadership of the late Bishop Isaac King Jr., and currently Elder Kellen Brooks.

Her life

Kyra became Mother to three daughters and one son. She was a loving and devoted mother always eager to protect and comfort her children. She enjoyed listening to reggae and gospel music. She loved gardening and enjoyed spending time with a few of her best friends, Jackie Powers and David Range.
Her work and certifications
Kyra enjoyed her work at the Wayne Assembly Plant in Wayne Michigan as a Food Prep Assistant. She continued her stay there until her health begin to fail. She attended the School for the Blind in Kalamazoo, Michigan to learn brail after her sight became challenging. Kyra became a member of the National Federation of the Blind, Detroit Chapter. However, she kept the faith and stayed committed to being independent and stable. Kyra's favorite scripture ironically became a true to life testament of her failing sight, II Corinthians 5:7, We walk by faith and not by sight. Kyra truly did just that! She believed God and never complained, she simply kept things moving. She remained kind and generous to those she knew. She dedicated her life to the health and well-being of her children despite her physical limitations.

Her sorrow

Kyra suffered the loss of her beloved daughter Tierra Algeria Gibbons and the loss of her loving father, Ernest Gibbons.
Her ending
At the age of 53 years, nine months and 14 days, Kyra made her transition from labor to reward on Wednesday July 1, 2020 at the Advantage Living Center located in Wayne, Michigan, after a short illness.
