June Boddie Obituary
June Marie Boddie was the second of eleven children born to Benjamin and Nina Anthony on March 26, 1941.
June attended River Rouge Schools, graduating from River Rouge High School in 1959. She married her high school sweetheart, Clifton Boddie on May 19, 1962. After divorcing in 1972, they remarried on July 26, 1988.
June held various jobs over the years to support her children. She was a driver for Metro
Airport Taxi Association along with Inkster Cab Companies, Superior and Black & White for over forty-years. She retired from University of Michigan's Janitorial Department.
On September 17, 2018, June departed this life to join the Lord. Preceding her in death was her husband, Clifton; parents, Benjamin and Nina; sisters, Carolyne Gilliam and Gloria Hunter and brother Benjamin Anthony.
She leaves to cherish her memory, children Keith Anthony(Francine), Nina Boddie-Seaton(Troy), William "Jimmy" Boddie (Teira), LaRhonda "Big Bay" Boddie-Thorton(Bobby), Yolanda "Little Ray" Boddie and stepdaughter, Stephanie "Muffyn" Boddie-Perry(Korey); seventeen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren, sisters, Delores, Sybil, Shirley, Lynette, Adrine and Denise; brother, Samuel(Sammy) along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
