Jahmal Moore Obituary
Jahmal Rashan Moore was born on February 4th 1979 in Dearborn, MI to the late George Bernard Moore and Brenda Yvonne Moore. He passed away on September 17, 2019 in Lafayette, IN.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church, Westland, MI.
Jamhal attended Inkster Public Schools and Romulus Public Schools where he excelled in many academic areas. He was given the Gissele test for giftedness and proved to be truly gifted in English, poetry prose, and creativity.
At the age of 20 he relocated to Lafayette, Indiana to be with the love of his life, ToiShawna Williams. They remained close friends until the end.
Jahmal established his business, Deuce Click Records in Lafayette. A gifted lyricist, he wrote many songs about life, love, family, and friendship. Writing producing and promoting was his passion and he helped many up and coming artist perfect their craft as well in his studio.
He was known by his stage name Hemp The Don and aspired to become known far and wide, but God had other plans for him.
Jahmal was very family oriented and was especially close to his mother and grandmother as well as being influential over his nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a big man with a big heart.
Preceding him in death was; father George Bernard Moore; Grandmother Florence L. Brown; grandfather, Joseph Brown Jr., and Uncle Joseph Brown III.
He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Brenda Yvonne Moore, Romulus, MI., Daughters TaSharra Moore and Alasia Moore, Lafayette, IN; sisters Rhonda Clark, Romulus, MI; nieces Ciceky Shaw, Los Angeles, CA, Tanajia Gregory, Saginaw, MI and nephew Quintin Gregory, Baltimore, MD and a host of other relatives and friends.
