Isiah Coffee Obituary
Isiah Coffee III, also known as "Coffee" or "Junior", was born on July 11, 1944, in Memphis Tennessee, the second eldest of eight children to the union of the late Mr.Isiah (Coote) Coffee Jr. and Mrs. Pearl Coffee. Four siblings preceded him in death: Mr. Albert Whitley-Coffee, Mr. Marvin Whitley-Coffee, Mrs. Annie Lee Moran, and Mrs. Evelyn Jean Davis. One great granddaughter, Brielle, also preceded him in death.
Junior confessed Christ as his personal savior at an early age, uniting with the New Bethel Baptist Church in Blytheville, Arkansas. Junior was educated in the Blytheville Public School System. He moved to Inkster, Michigan in 1965, and worked at Ford Motor Company, P & R Sanitation Department and D & L Gardens. He joined the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Westland, Michigan, where he was a member of the Male Chorus. On June 26, 2000, Junior was united in Holy Matrimony to Yvonne Coffee.
On Sunday, November 5, 2017, Junior moved from his earthly house and to his heavenly home. Junior is free from pain, and is now resting in the arms of Christ. Precious memories of Junior shall forever live on in the heart of his family and friends.
Celebrating his life and homegoing are his beloved wife, Mrs. Yvonne Coffee, one son Isiah Antonio Holman, and one granddaughter, Lashay Currie; one brother, Walter Coffee (Rosa), two sisters: Linda Coffee and Sharon Johnson (Calvin), two stepdaughters: Cookie (Darren), Tonya (Steven), and a stepson Robert; six beautiful grandchildren; Ashley, Brandon, Mo, Andre, Mya, and Jeremiah; three step great grandchildren: Adrain, Gabby, and Payton. A very special young lady that he treated like his own daughter, Monica Martin; three very special friends: Sandy, Herman and Floyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
