Glenn Michael Watkins

Glenn M. Watkins was born February 9, 1954 in Detroit, MI at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was the son of Willie James and Dorothy Watkins. Willie, his father, preceded him in death, June 10, 2010. Glenn was a member of Womack Temple C.M.E Church and he accepted Christ at an early age. Glenn loved Sunday school and bible study, and he loved to learn new scriptures. He served as an altar boy and sang in the junior choir. Glenn’s parents moved to Inkster, MI in 1955, where he attended grade school, and graduated from Robichaud High School. Glenn furthered his education and graduated from community college and mastered multiple trades and was very innovative in home improvement. Following graduation, Glenn begin his career at Ford Motor Company, where he worked for 34 and a half years. Due to Glenn’s expertise, he had the opportunity to give former President Ronald Reagan a tour of the Ford facility and a demonstration of the production line. In 1983, Glenn later made a cameo appearance in the movie Tiger Town. Also, Glenn was an avid football and basketball sports enthusiast. Glenn left to cherish the memory of his mother Dorothy Watkins, his children Cynetria and Cherie Watkins, his granddaughter Janice Marie Cole, Cynthia, the mother of his children and the love of his life. Other family members include his brothers Winisford, Arnold (Pat), his nephew Winisford Jr, and his niece Lakeia (Allen), and his cousin(s) Geraldine and Charlotte. He will deeply be missed by a multitude of many family members and friends.
