Fred was born on April 10, 1956 in Ypsilanti Michigan. He was the 3rd of 10 children born to Annette and the late Jacob Baskett. Fred had two children (Ambrosina Baskett and Adrien Baskett) and 4 grandchildren (Ava, Brady, Jack, and Charles).
After attending Inkster High School, Fred entered the workforce and held several jobs throughout his life. He worked forthe Marriot Hotel at Detroit Metro Airport as a Catering Supervisor. After a spending a decade as a Catering Supervisor he made a career change. Fred turned his attention to decorating and house painting. He worked for Remax as a painter and enjoyed the privilege of painting homes. One of his career accomplishments was spending 3 months on Mackinaw Island decorating and painting a mansion. He enjoyed dressing well, fine jewerly, watching football, and playing cards. Fred has a freat sense of humor and he was dearly loved by all of his family and friends.
Fred is survived by: his mother Annette Baskett, Bernard Baskett, Sherri Walker, Deborah Shelton, Marion Kirkland, Stanley Baskett, Jeanette Basket (Tyrone Price, Anthony Baskett (Lena Baskett), Dwayne Baskett (Zina Brown), and Connie McGee (Theron McGee).
