Ernestine Benard Obituary
Ernestine Benard was born on June 1, 1938 in Tupelo Mississippi. She attended school in Jackson Tennessee, later she moved to Detroit Michigan, her formal education was from the Detroit public school District. Ernestine was employed initially as a nurse and then she entered into the automotive industry where she was employed by Chrysler Motor Company, she worked their until she retired.
In 1965, she met the love of her life Clinton Benard they entered in holy matramonie and were best friends. She adored her husband and children Her husband Clinton preceded her in death. Later in life Ernestine and Clinton joined the New Birth Baptist Church. Ernestine served on the mother board and Clinton served as a dedicated deacon.
On Wednesday March 7, 2018 after a brief illness, Ernestine went home to be with the Lord she fought a good fight and kept her faith. Ernestine is now gone to a better resting place.
Ernestine preceded in death her husband and leaves to cherish love and memories: 8 children: Charlotta Synder (B.J.), who precede her, Charles Crawford (Donnetta), Alvin Crawford, Delores Harris (Donnie), Linda Vaughn (Gregg), Barbara Charleston (Cornelius), Darlene Benard , Clinton Benard Jr., Eric Benard (Mamie) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special solute to Pastor Joseph A. Stephens and the new Birth Baptist Church family.
