Eric Hixon Obituary

Eric Tionte' Hixon (affectionately known as "T" or "Tionte") was born March 15, 1994 at Oakwood Main Hospital in Dearborn, MI. He was lovingly welcomed by his mother, Tanya Hixon. She was overjoyed with his arrival and their love journey began.

"T" was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. He started his spiritual journey at the family home church, Middlebelt Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Martin. Currently, it is under the leadership of Larry Johnson. Later, as a preteen, he would frequently attend church with his grandmother, the late Brenda Hixon, at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth C. Pierce. "T" enjoyed church, learning about God and the fellowship. Later, along with his mom and siblings "T" joined Triumph Church-North Campus under the leadership Pastor Solomon W. Kinloch, Jr. "T" was educated in West Bloomfield school district. He aspired to further his education in the music industry and major in music production.

Tionte enjoyed family and friends. He looked forward to any occasion to gather together. He was always the life of the party with his funny sense of humor, and outgoing personality. He brought much joy, excitement and love to any family function. We fondly remember his swag, his style and how he loved to dress and look good. He thought he was "the man" and to us he was. He loved puzzles, music, and even thought; he could rap... We will miss the sounds of his music and his beats, but our hearts will hold on to how strong he was. Life had given him many challenges especially health challenges; however he overcame each one like the "Superman" that he was, with grace and a smile. Through him, we learned how to see each challenge with the desire to keep going and never give up; to take every lemon and make lemonade. And to know as "T" knew that challenges were only an opportunity to show the world how great God is, what strength and a real hero looks like. He didn't let life defeat him, but he lived life well to the finish line. So, thank you Tionte for showing what God looks like in Earth. Thank you for your beautiful smile and your sweet joyous spirit.

On Friday May 25, 2018 God quietly called your name and you answered. We know you are with God and in a better place. However, God we need you to give his mon, siblings and family strength each day to carry on without him because we will truly miss his laughter and his presence. We will hold on to his memory deep in our hearts and will never forget all that "T" meant to us. We will miss you "T".

He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, Tanya Hixon; his sister, DeAnna Gamble, his brother, Bryant "Duece" Gamble Jr.; one aunt, Antoinette (Myron) Brown; two uncles, Antione (Tanya) Curry; Pierre (Ronia) Hixon; his hanging buddy, Tyrie Hudgens who was always there; a host of cousins, friends and other relatives that loved him dearly.

Preceding Eric Tionte' in death was his maternal grandparents, the late Anthony and Brenda Hixon.
