In 1968, she moved to Detroit, where she met and married Herman Bailey, who preceded her in death. During this marriage, they were the owners and operators of Bailey's Shell full-service gas station located on 8 Mile Rd. She had a great love for flowers and, every spring she could be found in her yard planting colorful annuals as well as a variety of vegetables. she loved being with family, playing card games and laughing. There was never a time she didn't smile-even as her health began to decline. On December 28, 2019, The Lord God called Earlean home. Her sweet spirit, warm smile will truly be missed. Earlean was the seventh of thirteen children. Eleven preceded her in death. she leaves to cherish her memory one sister Bessie (Clyde) Battle and a host of nieces and nephews.
