Della Pelmore Obituary
Della Mae Pelmore was born October 24th, 1923 in Sardis, Mississippi to Roberta and Robert Ray. She relocated to Michigan in the 1940's where she met and married Isaac Pelmore. Della was a dietary manager at Deon's Nursing Home in Canton , MI. After retiring, some of her favorite hobbies included cooking many delicious meals, crocheting, and taking great pride in her beautiful yard that everyone admired. In 1991 she joined First Missionary Baptist church and worshiped there under Reverend Goode.
In November of 2012 Della's new residence became Imperial Healthcare where she lived for the rest of her years; under the care of many great Nurses and CNA's led by Janet Tolbert, she was wonderfully cared for by a great host of great people including Ms. Foster, Ms. Donna, John, Liz, Tasha and Steans. And three work granddaughter, Sylvia, Lavonna, and Sandra, who loved her dearly.
Della was admitted to Seasons Hospice on March 17th, 2017 and on May 21st, 2017 she went to be with the Lord and her loved ones in Heaven. Proceeding her in death are her parents Roberta and Robert Ray, her daughter Doris James, her granddaughter Diane Pacely-Haire, and her siblings Jannie, Katie, Waive, Booker T, Betty (Bennie Bell), and Ernestine.
She leaves behind Bernice Gray, TW Ray, grandson-in-law Wayne Haire, and nine great grandchildren Della Pacely (Marlon Ware), Francine Borthwell (Jerome Borthwell), Wayne Haire Jr., Roshia Jones (Kolin Jones), James Haire, Frank Pacely, Camille Odom (Lamorris Odom), April Haire-Seymore (Jerjuan Seymore), Elnora Haire (Ivan Dunlap). Her twenty-three great-great grandchildren include Darius Hollis, Jerome Nelson (Antiesia), Sean Deshazer (Larika), Audeya Seaton, Marquis Ware, Anthony Seaton, Jordan Nelson, Brianna Chatman, Jason Pacely, Shaila & Sharnae Nelson, Zhanya Bostick, Kiara Bostick, Mariah Davis, Kourtney Jones, Jaylun Williams, Kelvin Williams, Madison Williams, Jayden Seymore, Kendall Seymore, Denver Haire, Mackenzie Seymore, Kamille Odom, and three great-great-great grandchildren Anthony, Marquellis and Harlow Hollis.
