Deborah Hester Obituary
Deborah Marie Hester was born on December 10, 1956. She was the eighth child born to James and Mattie Hester. She attended Romulus schools and graduated from Romulus Senior High School in 1970.
Debbie was employed with several court systems which included 19th District Court, 22nd District Court and the 35th District Court. Her last employment was as a Deputy Court Clerk concluded at the 34th District Court in Romulus, MI
Debbie began her religious worship at First Baptist Church in Romulus, MI. She was most recently attending Sunset Church of Christ, in Taylor, Michigan. Debbie was an active member and participated in multiple activities such as Vacation Bible School, taught Children in Sunday School, traveled to Women's Retreats for many years, supported arts and crafts for adults, assisted in putting together donation boxes for world-wide distribution, and last, but not least Debbie always donated food and assisted in the kitchen. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Science Fiction movies and being of service to others.
Debbie gained her wings on Sunday, January 2, 2022, leaving to cherish her memories, a loving daughter, Porsha McQueen; granddaughter, Mercedeez Hester; grandsons, Joseph McQueen and Carmelo Cornell; great grandson, Mercellus Hester; her brothers, Horace Hester and Willie Hester; sisters, Barbara Jimerson (Sylvester), Marsha Saafir, Sherry Hester, Roberta Hester, Lavonne Sledd and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
