Life Legacy

Joseph Michael McRae was born March 31, 1959 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the union of Suffragan Bishop Allen J. McRae and First Lady Daisy L. McRae. In 1964, the family moved to Detroit, Michigan where he attended Herman Elementary School and graduated from Cody High School. Joseph began his Higher Education at Henry Ford Community College, Eastern Michigan University and University of Michigan. He went on to work at Ford Motor Company and Golani Dental Center where he was the Director of Business Administation.

Joseph was trained and nurtured in a Godly home and at an early age, he heard the voice of God and was water baptized in Jesus Name and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. He possessed many God-given talents. He was a musician (saxophone, piano, singer, songwriter), financial facilitator and an excellent cook.

Early in his life, Joseph knew his mission was helping others. He loved the Lord and people. It didn't matter who they were or where they were from, he wanted to help everyone who crossed his path.
His desire was to be a special blessing to his father, mother and the Kingdom of God. We will all remember him as an outgo ing, friendly and loving person who was always willing to share.

In life, he put his heart into everything he did. As we remember him, we find comfort in knowing that he never gave up hope and he gave his life and heart for what he believed and fought so hard for.

On Tuesday, May 15,2012 Joseph departed this life. We can say he fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith. Joseph leaves to cherish his memories his loving father and mother (Suffragan Bishop Allen J. McRae and First Lady Daisy L. McRae), his caring brother Elder Philip M. McRae, sister-in-laws Ruth, Tawaunna, and Nancy along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, saints and friends. Also, his brothers who preceded him in death Allen Jr. and William David Sr.
