A Gentleman

Antoine LaFloyd Jones ("Ant"), was the much anticipated Christmas gift to William Floyd Jones and Mary C. Jones born on December 25, 1975. He was the fourth child of six children. His education was acquired in the Inkster and Romulus school districts. As a child, the family attended Bethany Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of the late District Elder Henderson Alston. He grew up in ministry under BIshop Reginald & Pastor Patricia WIlliams, Sr. at God's City of Refuge, in Romulus, MichIgan. Antoine has served in ministry at Christ Temple City of Refuge under the leadership of Bishop & Lady L.C. Barnes, Jr. In ministry he served as a dedicated and faithful usher and a member of the Men of Integrity choir. Antoine served as an intricate part of the outreach ministry of Christ Temple City of Refuge (Operation Refuge). His diligent weekly service to the Mother's Pantry assisted many in the Inkster community. Antoine was a warring worshipper, often found on Sundays giving the Pastor a personal shout-out.

Antoine was a lover of life. His four sons and two daughters were the joy of his life. He was a devoted family man From the God portion to the park. He believed in spending quality time and making lasting memories with his children. He could often be found hanging with his brothers and friends and calling out Tune aka "T-Loooove". He was a strong man, with his own ideals and identity that came with a smooth swagger and a gentle word.
His smile was radiant and he would light up the room. He will be remembered for his genuine hug and kiss. He was "a cut above the rest." He enjoyed:

Youth, Basketball, Biking, Volleyball (accompanied by the undefeated 'Jones Boys'), Repairing cars with his father, Mentoring young men, Listening to music, Catching a good movie, and "Clowning"

He especially loved to "just chill" with Lil Ant. They went everywhere together most of the time.

Antoine loved to shower his mother with love and kindness. He would not allow her to open the door for herself, giving him the title of "Gentleman". Not only did he take care of his mother but all mothers. He was a young man who looked after the elderly and had a passion to assist them. He was a willing worker, whatever and whenever his hand found something to do, he could be counted on.

He was preceded in death by his son Ajejuan Leukimyuan LaFloyd, and his brother Abyomi Leukimyuan. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving four sons Antoine II, Aquan, Ashaine, and Ameron; two daughters Ammani and Amayah; his devoted ex-wife Tasja Jones; his loving parents William & Mary Jones; one sister Atrolya (David) Smith of Hampton, Georgia; four brothers Avery (Geneva) Causey of Albuquerque, New Mexico, William Jones, II of Westland, Michigan, Adrian Jones of Deaborn Heights, Michigan and Anton Jones of Inkster, MIchigan; one God sister Kim (David) Newsome of Brownstown, Michigan; grandparents District Elder Willie & Ida Elam of Pontiac, Michigan; Eight nieces, five nephews and a great host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
